Getting their way into the playoffs because they are in an easy division. They should be down and OUT this year, but with the Jets collapsing, they are inching their way into the playoffs, where they wouldn't even make it had it not been for their terrible division.
They would have made it for the past few years regardless, but that doesn't really make up for the fact that they are playing bad teams more than any others. Most of their division continues to dwell from 13-15 many years.
Hate the way ranking works in sports. Most points should make the playoffs. Period.
That's my rant, sorry.

Mario Mr. Lemieux:
With a single mind boggling flub, Mike Sullivan may have found a way to undo months of
hard work and historic accomplishment complacency, laziness and non-belief in an instant. The Penguins’ dramatic turnaround from January to April, their meteoric climb in the standings, Sidney Crosby’s rebirth from has-been to is-again, and the inexorable March of the Penguins through the first 14 games of the playoffs... mostly due to Sid buying into the new coaching system. All, perhaps, indelibly redacted from significance from the moment Sullivan abruptly decided to jump from a Clydesdale to into a pack of mules in the middle of a six-foot-deep rushing torrent. It would have been one thing if the steed who had carried him safe and dry mules this far was were injured or tired or, perhaps, if he they had stumbled, even for a moment. But there was no such sign, no reason, no justification – just a sudden incomprehensible leap realization that left the confused steed mules floating floated aimlessly adrift and had all the poor mule talent but were just flailing awkwardly in a torrent he the previous coaches had tried and failed to cross several times in recent years.
Sullivan’s decision to start Marc Andre Fleury in game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals
is was the most abject questionable coaching failure decision we have witnessed in almost 50 years as hockey fans. To say, when we saw the announcement on Monday afternoon, that we were dumbfounded, would be like saying the Night’s Watch was surprised to see Jon Snow two weeks ago. If Sullivan’s decision had all the slightest basis in and logic or reason, no one – not even Sullivan -- has attempted to explain what it might be. as Fluery is the known starter as well as a Stanley cup and Olympic gold medal winning champion. On top of the question at the time if Murray was showing fatigue or not.
Fleury, of course,
imploded – predictably, had little to no support on defense foreseeably, in much the same way he has sporadically done had, albeit occasionally, in recent years. It goes without saying the Penguins almost certainly would could potentially have won game 5 with Matt Murray in net, but not likely. It goes without saying Matt Murry should could have been in net. But now the horse who somehow, against all odds, incredibly managed to carry us safe and dry this far, would face near suffocating pressure – not to mention anger, confusion, doubt – if Sullivan were to do another about face and ask him to dig his way out of the hole so stunningly created by Sullivan’s the teams own doing. Yet the alternative seems worse seemed plausable, like deciding between Donald Trump Freedom and Hillary Clinton Socialistic Communism. Can Sullivan possibly return to Fleury after such a spectacular failure Murrays loss? Talk about being poisoned or stabbed Realism.
Suffice it to say everything we thought
we knew about Sullivan has been called into question come to fruition.
Drastic times call for drastic measures.
Mr. Lemieux, only you can right this listing ship. Sullivan is Captain
Smith Ahab; accomplished, brilliant, but inexcusably asleep at the wheel in the blink of an eye when it mattered most. His failure relentless pursuit of the white whale (aka. the Cup) is cause for termination contract extension. Marc Andre Fleury is the Titantic. His failure is benched , in part, understandable driven, as he was, into the iceberg, by a prodigy of a young goaltender. You are the Carpathia, sailing toward what remains Owner. If you take no action, your failure will (it pains usto say this) tarnish your sterling legacy. We will probably win the Cup.
Do not let that happen.
You must fire
your coach BurghBlast now. Not tomorrow, not next week, or next month, but right now, this very moment, barely 24 48 hours before the playoff game which may define this franchise’s future legacy. You must replace him with anyone else in that dressing room the Forum. You must make sure that Matt Murray and Marc Andre Fleury know, and know that you know, and that the entire team knows, that it was a mistake – an inexcusable mistake understandable -- to bench Matt. It was also a mistake to force Marc Andre into an impossible situation. He deserved better, too. Sullivan BurghBlast did them both us all dirty, through no fault of their his own. They We are both all victims. The culpable party is Sullivan BurghBlast and Sullivan BurghBlast alone. Only by excising the cancer BurghBlast immediately can you hope to restore confidence in your goaltenders Forums. Only by restoring maintaining confidence can we hope to force win the Cup in game 7 5. Only by forcing winning game 7 5 can we prove, not withstanding, that, yes, as we all know, or thought we knew, Sidney Crosby, Evegeni Malkin, Phil Kessel, Chris Kunitz, Chris Letang, Patric Hornqvist, HBK, and, oh yes, Matthew Freakin Murray are, in fact, better than the TB lightning without Steve Stamkos or Ben Bishop rest of the NHL. It is a damn shame it had to come this. This series should already be over. Don’t let this franchise forum somehow find another way to lose waiver in faith yet again, with literally every card in the deck stacked in its favor.

Nothing photoshop couldn't solve though.
Hankey solved it.
He sure did! Great photoshop by Hankey. I'm not sure it's even possible to do a better job of taking foureyes out of the picture, and preventing him from ruining the great family moment. I gave it a try though...
