Figured I'd start this thread as a general place to talk about Pens injuries this season.

Bennett injured against the Isles in the third and left the game.  Bylsma had no update and said that he'll be evaluated today.  The kids seems to be pretty fragile.  Hopefully, this isn't a big deal.

On a positive note, Kobasew has been skating the last couple of days and hopes to join practice in a few days.

There are reports that Scuds could be back by Christmas.

From Yohe a couple days ago:
Bylsma said that goaltender Tomas Vokoun, out since September with a blood clot problem, remains on blood-thinning medication and that there is no update on his health. Vokoun said he is out three-to-six months, with the three-month figure representing an extremely optimistic forecast.

Beau is frail. Hope he's not the next Kristine.

Great to hear to Kobasew (not that's he really missed, no offense to the guy) is skating.

I've read those reports on Scuderi. Christmas-ish return is certainly believeable. Good to hear he's progressing.

As much as I'm rooting for Vokizzle, I just don't think we'll see him this season, if ever again. An extremely serious health risk like he has, I'm assuming won't allow him much room for true physical exercise. Even when/if he's cleared to begin practicing, how far off is he going to be? I do hope for the best, and wish him well.

Considering that Vokoun has come back from this before, I wouldn't count him out for this season, say in March.  Although his is older than when it hit him last time. I think the Pens will try to go with Zatkoff as long as possible and then make a decision to trade for a backup before the deadline, all dependent on how Vokoun is doing.  But we shall see. However, it will cause some cap issues if Vokoun comes back.

On the homepage, Bennett out 8-10 weeks.

Awesome.

Per the Pens' Facebook:

- Tanner Glass out 3-4 weeks with a broken hand.
- Paul Martin has an unspecified lower body injury.

More outstanding news. Every friggin' year.

I think Bennett just re-injured the thing he was out for previously. Sometimes coming back before you are 100% isn't the best thing.

Malkin not traveling to Boston (lower body, day-to-day),  Dupuis(lower body, day-to-day) is traveling. Ebbett broke ankle blocking shot (IR).  Harry Z. called up.

Don't know if its worth anything or not, but Mark Madden says that all his hockey sources are telling him that Vokoun will not play another Nhl game.
