I was talking to my cuz tonight, and he told me you can't get a good seat in Consol for less than 250. Is that true?

I'd love to make the drive with my older daughter and take her to a game.  She's a cool kid.  Wears a Penguins jersey to school in Bruins land.  Of course, being pretty helps her get away with it.

Depends on what he means by "good seat".

If he means only in the Lower bowl, popular games like Flyers or Rangers & buying them off of stub hub or something - he's probably kind of right.  He is also surely exaggerating so you think he's "in the know" or "cool".  I'd call his donkey out, bro.

There really isn't a bad seat in the building though.

Yes, obviously you know more about a person that I have known for all of my life, and whom you have never met, than I do.

Or, possibly, he just won't buy tickets unless he can actually see the entire game.

Y U mad?

A quick search of the stub hub has tickets for the next Red Wings game from Club Seating at $576 each to Section 210 (upper bowl behind the goal where Penguins shoot twice for $73.50.

Your friend is either wrong, or only considers buying club seats.

Club seats.

End seats suck.  I've done enough of those.

Upper middle might be okay.  Those start at 100.

You've done those at Consol, Mellon Arena or other venues?

Yeah, I've done end seats at a few venues...  RPI (great hockey team in the late 70s, early 80s), Worcester Sharks (DCU Center),   TD Garden, and Providence.

There really aren't any bad seats in Consol, there were a lot of bad seats at Mellon Arena.  People have views they prefer for whatever reason.  If you really want to take your daughter to a game, buy the tickets you want to buy at the price you want to pay, not the ones your friend thinks you should buy, bro.
