The Flyers have it made.  They continue to lose and perpetuate their culture of losing.

The Red Wings shipped Scott Wilson off to Buffalo for a 5th round pick.   The Sabres put Moulson on waivers.

The Buffalo Sabres have one less galoot bumming out.  Matt Moulson has not scored enough, or at all, lately.  He will likely finish his career in the American Hockey League or outside North America.

Scott Wilson is a great acquisition for the Sabres.  Botterill knows Wilson well.

Jack Eichel, Evander Kane, and Ryan O'Reilly should take notice of Moulson's demotion to the Rochester Americans.  Can they remove themselves from their crack machines and start scoring goals to win games?

Scott Wilson 20 Games: 0 Goals, 0 Assists

Matt Moulson 14 Games: 0 Goals, 0 Assists

Major improvement for the Sabres, yes?

BTW, Russia has been barred from the 2018 Winter Olympic games.   Ovechkin and Geno will have to stay here, amirite?

Botterill knows the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins well.  Wilson must have been expendable for the Red Wings.

Time for Geno to become 'merican!

It looks like Seattle may get an NHL team.

Honestly, I'd like to see the NHL go back to the old divisions if Seattle does get a team. It'll make way more sense in my opinion than what they currently have now. I'm thinking you have eight divisions with four teams in each division. It'd look something like this.

East:

Orr division:

Boston Bruins

New Jersey Devils

New York Rangers

New York Islanders

Roy Division:

Buffalo Sabres

Ottawa Senators

Montreal Canadiens

Toronto Maple Leafs

Lemieux Division:

Detroit Red Wings

Philadelphia Flyers

Pittsburgh Penguins

Washington Capitals

Francis Division:

Florida Panthers

Nashville Predators

Carolina Hurricanes

Tampa Bay Lightning

West:

Hull Division:

St.Louis Blues

Minnesota Wild

Chicago Blackhawks

Columbus Blue Jackets

Modano Division:

Dallas Stars

Arizona Coyotes

Colorado Avalanche

Las Vegas Golden Knights

Blake Division:

Seattle

Anaheim Ducks

San Jose Sharks

Los Angeles Kings

Gretzky Division:

Winnipeg Jets

Calgary Flames

Edmonton Oilers

Vancouver Canucks

You should have made a thread for this, bro. Then we could discuss the team placement and division names and any updates about expansion.

I think Washington, Philadelphia, and both NY teams should be together and call it the Short Bus Division.

Chicago is going to want to call their division the Toews Division.

It would make sense for Pittsburgh and Buffalo to be in their own division.

The biggest issues I have with the decisions is that everyone in the Roy division would look like Hailey Joel Osman, everyone in Modano would look like Napolean Dynomite, everyone in Lemieux would get cancer,  and every team in the Gretzky division would be full of superstars to win the cup every year.

MNGA bro not this

Makes sense.  They're mostly lumberjacks but they're ok.

If the current four-division alignment remains, a team from the Pacific Division will need to move to the Central Division.  The Arizona Coyotes may be that team.

I would like to see a new system implemented.  Eliminate the two conference.  The top three teams in each division qualify for postseason play.  The next four teams with the best records qualify for wild card berths.
